Navarra
is the door of the Santiago Road to the Peninsula, and
as such, more than a third of the pilgrims that arrive
at Santiago have started their adventure here. On foot, by bike
or horse-riding, the pilgrim and the tourist cross multicoloured
landscapes, enjoy the warmth of its inhabitants and the cooking
from Navarra.
Along
centuries, the pilgrims have also left their artistic mark and
there are many monuments that tourists should visit when they
come to Navarra. One of the most important ones is the Collegiate
Church of Santa Maria (XII) in Orreaga-Roncesvalles, three
km away from Camping Urrobi.
